Mislata will become the epicentre of fireworks during the Fallas 2025 with the largest mascletà ever fired in the Valencian Community. The "Espartans del Foc" pyrotechnic club, in collaboration with the Falla Antonio Molle-Gregorio Gea and the prestigious Nadal Martí pyrotechnics company from L'Olleria, will be in charge of carrying out this unique show that will mark a milestone in the history of gunpowder linked to the Fallas festival.
The firing will take place in the early hours of 17-18 March 2025 at 1:00 a.m. in the Plaza Mayor de Mislata, where a total of 501 kilos of gunpowder will be ignited, far exceeding the 330 kilos used in the mascletá in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia in 2024. The structure of the show will feature a succession of phases of increasing intensity that will raise the excitement to its climax.
The mascletá will begin with a traditional ignition by "Els Espartans del Foc", who will manually light 4,000 masclets in honour of the Valencian pyrotechnic tradition. Pirotecnia Nadal-Martí will then take over with a mechanised mascletà that will include six upward-firing bursts. The fireworks will reach their peak with a large-scale earthquake on land, whose thunder will make the Plaza Mayor rumble, and will culminate with an apotheotic aerial earthquake in which 5,000 shells will light up the sky of Mislata, offering a spectacular finale.
The president of the club, Vicente Enrique López Sinisterra, has taken advantage of the presentation of the event to "from the organization that I preside, invite all citizens to witness this unprecedented event" recommending "the use of public transport to facilitate access to all those people who want to visit us from outside our municipality." The "Mislata-Almassil" metro station is located a few meters from the place of the firing, which will allow a comfortable and safe journey for all attendees.
